Delta Sleep Inducing Peptide (DSIP) is a neuropeptide that was originally isolated from the brain of rabbits during induced sleep.  It is involved in sleep regulation and improving delta-wave sleep patterns, which is the deepest and most restorative stage of sleep.  Studies have shown positive outcomes in reducing chronic pain, stress, blood pressure, and reduce the proliferation of cancer cells.  It has been studied to lower the risk of heart disease and depression, improving cognitive function, and reducing the effects of alcohol and Opioid withdrawal.
